The Omakase & Sake course pairing was beautifully presented with thought & care. Chef Michi & Joel patiently took us through the providence of the food ingredients & the paired Saki & why it mattered. No mistake- this is a premium experience youโll not forget soon. Bookings essential. Old fashionedโs way too easy to drink. May be Karaoke in the Bar after dinner ๐ฌ
So much fun and the steam egg chawanmushi is unexpectedly delicious ๐คค I usually donโt expect anything but this is hand down one of the best chawanmushi (trust me I have had a lot of them in Japan and around the world). The omakase here uses multiple techniques and fusion cuisine but not overwhelming the essence of original omakase set. Chef is fun and staffs are super friendly. I went myself but had a blast ๐ฅ Definitely will be back with a group of friends or romantic dinner
A small japanese bar but HUGE vibes, very attentive well knowledged staff. Amazing Japanese drink selections and cocktails with a great food menu for proper pairings and lovely presentations. 1 of the best hidden gems in sydney!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Literally, it was the best dining experience Iโve ever had in my life. It was our first time trying Omakase sushi, and I was a bit intimidated to go in and be trying food right in front of the chef, but it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The whole staff was so nice and helpful and answered questions we had with enthusiasm. They prepared each dish with meticulous care and the owner Joel was so incredibly knowledgeable, innovative and entertaining, and just the nicest guy! If youโre on the fence about doing it, definitely go for it! It has been the highlight of our travels to Australia, and weโd love to visit again one day! Thanks everyone at Bar Besuto! You all are doing an incredible job, and we really appreciated our time there!
One of the finest omakase experiences I've had in Sydney. Every dish was incredibly fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. You can really see the care in both the preparation and presentation. The entire experience runs for about two hours, and as it was my birthday, they surprised me with a complimentary dessert at the end, which was such a thoughtful touch! The chef was warm and welcoming, happily engaging with us and answering questions along the way. The sake and umeshu pairings were spot on, we discovered some truly unique flavours we wouldnโt have tried otherwise and loved every one of them. Service throughout the night was exceptional. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which for me goes a long way. And for Japanese whisky lovers like me, this place is heaven. Easily the best selection Iโve come across in Australia, with everything from rare bottles to limited editions. The owner has exceptionally great tastes!! Canโt wait to go back!
