5/5 stars Superb experience from start to finish. Every single dish was excellent, with incredibly fresh ingredients throughout. We especially loved Chef Billy’s creative take on Japanese cuisine, particularly the way scallops were used - thoughtful, refined, and memorable. The sake and cocktail selection were outstanding, easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Although there was a small hiccup with the birthday cake at the end, Chef Chris went above and beyond to make sure we still had a wonderful experience, personally apologizing multiple times and handling it with great care. Highly recommended and absolutely worth a visit.
Absolutely loved our experience at Garaku! Chef Kim pours his heart into every plate, and you can taste it. The dishes were delicate, fresh, and so thoughtfully prepared. The pairing was exceptional as well with thoughtfully curated to elevate every flavour and complete the experience. The service was warm, and we felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. From the moment we were seated, everything was impeccable. We were even given the option to choose our own chopstick rests, a small detail that spoke volumes about the care provided. The ambiance was incredibly sophisticated, and the food was, without a doubt, the best I have ever had. The sommelier offered friendly and knowledgeable explanations with every wine or sake pairing. Furthermore, the chefs were so kind, explaining not only the recommended order in which to enjoy each course but also the specific method of savoring it. The open kitchen was a highlight, allowing us to watch the chefs work with incredible focus. Every single dish was plated with meticulous care and precision. The entire restaurant felt immaculate, refined, and truly world-class. Highly, highly recommended.
We came here on a weekday. The cost was around $400pp as we had sake with our meals. We love the set up, the menu, the presentation, the staff, the venue. Even the bathroom is creative. It was an unforgettable experience. I enjoyed everything! Thank you
