Haru Sushi n Bento

About
quaint japanese restaurant in freo serving average food with decent portions at very competitive prices i found the food mediocre; nothing that blew my socks off but also nothing to complain about, especially since the prices are very reasonable. we did find the beef, salmon and complimentary miso soup a bit too salty though. i wouldn't go out of my way to come here, especially since in the heart of freo there are so many great options. however, it is definitely a great place to pick up lunch

was suggested this place by a friend. you can choose your own sushi and stuff at the front and/or order something for main. unfortunately was kinda underwhelmed by the spicy karaage chicken don/rice bowl. the โkaraageโ chicken wasnโt crispy in the slightest so i could have mistaken it for spicy (normal) chicken, and the sauce tasted very salty and concentrated but also somehow too spicy to taste anything else. worse it drowned everything in the bowl so itโs all you can taste and thereโs not enough rice or anything to pick it up dining experience was also made worse by low quality disposable utensils. anyway this same friend also said thatโs the only bad thing they serve so i guess iโll get something else next time. the prices across the board are better than decent. miso soup was fine. friendly staff. very small location. be mindful of your space if youโre dining in.
From the service to the meal, it's a fantastic place to visit. The food is very filling, and good quality, and for a good price compared to other places around for a Bento. Absolutely worth coming to Freo for lunch here!
I've been meaning to try this place for a while and wow I've been missing out. The man was so lovely at the counter and very welcoming. They had a really good variety of stuff and the food was so fresh. 100% recommend and will be coming back soon!

This spot is a Fremantle gem! Outstanding customer service with a genuine smile, and delicious food I could eat every day. The sushi is superb, and the chicken karaage was bowl-licking good. Will be back time and time again, you canโt go wrong with anything on the menu. Make sure to get a bit of โavocadoโ on the side! ;)
