ICHI Japanese Restaurant is a real gem in Toowoomba. The food has an authentic Japanese taste that’s fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared — it genuinely feels like a taste of Japan right here locally. The service is fantastic: friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being over the top. The restaurant is spotless and well presented, which adds to the whole experience. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommended if you love proper Japanese food done right. 🇯🇵

This is a hidden gem of the city. Wonderfully cooked and well presented food. Service was impeccable. Each dish from ramen to Bento boxes were delicious. Highly recommended!

Ichi is a small, no-frills Japanese restaurant, but it delivers where it counts — the food. You order through a tablet and pay after your meal, which I really appreciated for its convenience. I had the Unagi Don which came with miso soup — great flavour and nicely done. The seaweed salad was fresh and tasty. I also tried the pork bone ramen, which had a rich broth and came with chicken karaage on the side — both were satisfying and well-balanced. Overall, a solid spot for a casual Japanese meal. Would definitely come back.

I’ve always loved sashimi, but I haven’t found any Japanese restaurant around Toowoomba that serves it as generously and deliciously as yours. The salmon slices are so thick and satisfying.

Disappointed, got a pork ramen, way too salty, the pork tasted old and was tough to chew, the broth was bad, and pork was not pork belly as stated. Way too many soggy bamboo pieces. I added my own sesame seeds. Do not recommend. Waste of money. Threw it in the bin.
