Would definitely recommend if you want great Japanese, especially if you are celiac! Cozy restaurant with the loveliest staff and chefs. Were very accomodating and celiac aware, making me feel very comfortable eating there. I had asked about the bento box which I could not have, however after ordering the the teriyaki chicken which was great with a very generous portion, the chef specially made some gluten free sushi to have while we waited complementary! And after we had finished our meals some delicious green tea ice cream. They also have gf tempura which I did not try this time. Thankyou to the staff for going above and beyond to make such a great experience, would love to come again.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and we both enjoyed our dinner so much. We ordered the wagyu beef ninja degustation. The presentation was detailed and well thought out. The staff were attentive, friendly, and they went out of their way to make our dinner special with some complimentary dessert and umeshu. Everything was yummy and I particularly liked the agedashi tofu, umeshu, black sesame ice cream, terayaki chicken and sashimi + sushi rolls. The atmosphere was great and the music and decorations made us feel like we were back in Japan. 10/10 would recommmend.

We had a lovely evening at Iori for our anniversary dinner. The service was attentive despite being busy for a Wednesday. The food was delicious and wonderfully presented. The chef gave us complimentary sushi and we really enjoyed the Jiggly Bunny Garden Floriade Dessert Special. They certainly made it a warm and memorable occasion for us.

Best Japanese restaurant in Canberra! The salmon is super fresh and the sushi rolls are hands down the best I’ve ever had. The chef even gave me a free salmon nigiri which was such a nice surprise. Definitely coming back!
