If you want authentic Japanese you can't beat this place. The prices are really good for what you get. Huge meals and everything tasted divine! I cannot recommend this place enough! Wow!!

Had dinner at Katsu Tabi and it honestly felt like being back in Japan. The katsu was golden, crispy, and full of flavor — not greasy at all. Pairing it with a chilled beer was perfect. The place has that relaxed izakaya vibe, with warm lighting and friendly staff who make you feel welcome. It’s small and cozy, ideal for a casual dinner or drinks with friends. Highly recommend for anyone craving proper Japanese comfort food in Wollongong.

5 star is not enough to justify this lovely restaurant. Absolutely delicious food with the right amount of side pickles/dishes. The food was cooked to perfection and i love how it was served with a bowl of sesame seeds that you can grind! Fun for everyone, not just for the person who ordered the dish. Don't say you tasted the best katsu before until you try it here.

Such a Great Experience ! Service was lovely they even supplied blankets if you want to sit outside. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced DEFINITELY worth it.. the Miso tempura Eggplant entree was divine and the Pork Loin Katsu Set meal transported me back to Japan. Genuinely authentic Japanese food here !! The vibes are also so warm and comfortable… if you’re getting a Katsu variety def add the curry sauce for $6 so worth it ! Trust

Recommended by a friend.. very nice food.. felt just like we were in Japan again.. the brussel sprouts entree was amazing.. I only wish I could cook mine like that.. 1 entree 2 mains and 2 drinks.. under $75 great value. I'll be back for sure Just to add to the review.. I sent my sister and her Husband in as he loves Japanese food.. they had different meals and rated it well.. and they eat in lots of Places in Sydney that are much more expensive.. so It honestly is tip top..
