i love this place! the owner is incredibly nice and patient and all the food is so well made. the skewers and grilled dishes are perfectly cooked. there are always specials and even though it is on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth the money. reservations are recommended because it’s popular!
Stop what you are doing and come here ASAP! Coeliac friendly with their 100% gluten free menu (except for the beer). They use house made sauces, and everything we had was fresh and delicious. We had salmon nigiri, agedashi tofu, beef tataki, karaage chicken, miso eggplant and addictive cabbage, all of which were exceptional by any measure. The staff were all amazing, very accommodating and polite, answering all of my questions about the food enthusiastically! I will definitely be returning with as many people as possible!
Our family is completely obsessed with this place! You can really feel the love they put into every dish. Everything is so fresh and so well made, you can tell they choose the best ingredients and care about every little detail. We super recommend it and we’ll definitely keep coming back to this authentic Place
Best Japanese yakitori I’ve had in Brisbane – the chef is incredibly skilled, and every dish was cooked perfectly. I’ll be back for the yakitori and prawn ochazuke. Service, however, needs improvement. Seating, menus, ordering, and food all took a long time, I went to the restaurant at 7:00 and waited until 7:50 to get my first meal in. and if you don’t order drinks, glassware is swapped for paper cups, which feels awkward. Prices are on the higher side, but the service and in-restaurant atmosphere aren’t quite at fine dining level yet.
Lots of dishes with great flavours. The sashimi and yakitori were excellent, really enjoyed the scallops. The ochazuke was also an interesting mixture of flavours that we hadn't tried previously in Japan. Highly recommend. Will be back again to try the unagi next time!
