An absolute 10/10. Exceptional food in a warm, friendly environment, elevated by the generosity of someone who shared his journey and knowledge without holding back. Truly one of my best dining experiences. Thank you for a memorable night.

Hidden in a tiny laneway of Potts Point lies a little slice of Japan. This pint-sized 6 seater run by a husband and wife duo is the closest you’ll get to a traditional Japanese experience in Sydney. As with most omakase courses, the dishes rotate regularly depending on what’s in season but chef Morita san does have some signature ingredients which he will tweak with throughout the year. Monkfish liver is one unique item you will find in the Hassun while shabu shabu and soba noodles also make a regular appearance in his menu. The nigiri includes favourites like cuttlefish, mackerel, tuna, scampi, sea urchin, and sea eel with each piece presented at its best - If a fish was at its peak fresh, it was fresh. If a fish was at its peak with some aging, it was aged. Some chefs tend to compensate by overdoing the truffle and caviar but this is superfluous at Kisuke. This is the place to visit for your traditional omakase experience. Thank you, chef Morita san.

This dining experience is considered average. Anyway can’t compare to authentic Japanese dining experience Market is different.Chef has experience and skills However i can’t see any creative and innovative side.my friend is a omakase lover who comments on cuisine is average as well .

Excellent omakese experience in a cosy atmosphere. Our menu was a variety of sashimi, wagyu shabu shabu, chanwamushi, unique seafood dishes, grilled fish and cheesecake with yuzu jelly. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were very full by the end. No hidden fees or surchages and drinks are reasonably priced. The pacing was also good.

We came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. It was my first time trying omakase, so I wasn’t sure what to expect—but wow. The fish was insanely fresh, and the wagyu was next-level delicious—like, melt-in-your-mouth good. I mentioned that I can’t eat spicy food, and they were super accommodating—every course was adjusted and it did not feel like a compromise. What really stood out was the couple running the place. Watching them work together just added to the charm of the night. Such a memorable meal—we will come back for sure!
