Brothless ramen with all the flavor at the bottom of the bowl. Super chewy noodlesโmix well and thatโs when the magic happens ๐ฅ Donโt miss the chasing rice ๐ to mix with the leftover sauce for a perfect second round. Great vibe, fast service, solo-diner friendly, and conveniently located near Wynyard / light rail.
After work dinner with colleagues, checking out a newly opened Japanese mazesoba spot near Martin Place station. We ordered two types of mazesoba along with a few side dishes. ๐ Tokyo Mazesoba โ break the egg yolk, add the seasonings yourself, and mix everything together. The mildly spicy minced pork and spring onions add layers of flavour, and honestly, it was impressive. ๐ Mentai Cream โ rich and cheesy with a heavier, creamier texture. The grilled pork inside was really fragrant, but personally, I preferred the Tokyo mazesoba. ๐ฅ Pan-fried gyoza โ so good. I could easily finish a whole plate by myself. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, full of flavour but not greasy at all. The croquette and takoyaki were also solid. The tofu was served cold, and next time I definitely want to try the wagyu mazesoba!
Came here for lunch and ordered the Sukiyaki Mazesoba and Chashu Mazesoba. Both were really solid. The noodles are thick and chewy, sauce is rich without being too heavy, and the chashu is nicely cooked and full of flavour. Definitely mix everything well and add rice at the end โ worth it. Busy spot but service is quick. Would come back again.
Calling all noodle lovers in The Rocks! Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba is the perfect after-work spot for a satisfying carb fix. The **Mala Mazesoba** packs a deliciously spicy punch with its rich, numbing sauce coating perfectly chewy noodles. For ultimate indulgence, the **Cheese Mazesoba** is incredibly rich and creamy. Don't miss the surprisingly addictive **Truffle Chips** and the refreshing **Watermelon Chuhai** cocktail. A top choice for flavorful, comforting bowls and a relaxed vibe.
The restaurant is clean and tidy. Outdoor and indoor seats available. Staff is welcoming and willing to help. The side dishes we ordered are average. Batter of octupus karaage is quite hard (than crispy). The mazesoba is delicious and feels like a condensed tonkotsu ramen. Itโs quite strong on sodium level but if you can handle traditional tonkotsu broth ramen, it should be alright. The noodle is cooked very well in an al dente condition and mix well with the sauce. The raw egg yolk helps a lot in combing flavours and creating that silky texture. Minced garlic and fresh chive elevates the sauce to another level (true also you will need mint after this). The price is slightly high for what it is but considering the location itโs not unacceptable.
