Food was delicious, my only suggestion would be to include more pickled ginger on the sashimi platter. The beef boa were my favourite. Service was faultless, I loved how they spaced their timing out with each dish, it ment toy could enjoy and focus on one dish at a time without feeling rushed. I was very appreciative that they let us tweak some menu items to cater for a vegetarian portion, meaning we could still share.

Kuzu Izakaya. Greeted upon entry with a welcoming presence. The staff were lovely with hanging up our coats and assistance with our booking (Toby was serving our table). The setting/layout presented itself with 'comfy home vibes'. The food itself, was unique, nourishing and tasty. I enjoyed the tempura oysters, while my partners fish of the nights was the Wagyu bao buns. We had a very wonderful night and this place delivered for a cold night in Woodend.

Reviews absolutely do this place justice. Had the takeko set menu, every dish was fantastic. Not a single miss across the board, definitely worth the asking price. Thinking of getting the grumpy frog as a tattoo.

Second time at Kuzu and the quality of food and service is still the same like last time. Great hearty Japanese dishes served by a lovely team. We ordered the Takeko set menu - recommend this to try all the best sellers, generous servings, make sure to come ready to eat. The chilli sauce is also phenomenal!

I can't say enough good things about our experience! The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was beautiful. Gareth and his team were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. Gareth went above and beyond by driving us home when we couldn't get an Uber. Truly exceptional service! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
