โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Absolutely delicious Japanese dining experience If you are lloking for a legit japanese restaurant, head to Mensho Tokyo. Everything we ordered was really, really good. The wagyu sushi was outstanding โ beautifully presented with rich, buttery cuts that practically melted in the mouth. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is top-tier. All the ramen that we ordered was just as impressive: deep, flavourful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and generous, tender slices of meat. Every bite was comforting and satisfying without being too heavy. Overall, a fantastic Japanese restaurant with excellent food, great balance of flavours, and clear attention to detail. Definitely a place Iโd happily come back to and recommend to others. Great costumer service enhanced the experience as well.
Best ramen I've ever had. I went with some friends and one was first in line. They told her to wait until we all arrived and would be on a list. We waited 20 minutes once we all arrived but they gave us a menu so we could look and tall together. Once we sat down, they gave us some ennoki chips to apologise for the wait but we were surprised, it was so lovely of them! And once we got our noodles, WOW!! So creamy and filling. I got their cheapest ramen, the classic ramen for about $26 and it was worth every dollar. Service was amazing, the food once ordered came out relatively quick ans the quality was off the charts. Highly HIGHLY recommend and worth the wait time.
Mensho Tokyo in Sydney is a real standout. The space feels like a little slice of Tokyo with the bold red entrance, lanterns, and open kitchen that is fun to watch. We tried a couple of ramen bowls and both were excellent. The broth was rich and full of flavour without being too heavy, noodles had great bite, and the toppings were generous. The chashu was melt in your mouth and everything tasted carefully made. The specials also looked amazing, especially the lobster mazesoba, which I am coming back for. Drinks were a bonus too. The peach and yuzu sake jelly shots were fun, refreshing, and paired nicely with the ramen. Service was friendly and efficient even when it was busy. Definitely worth the hype and a must visit for ramen lovers.
Wanted to try this place for soo long since it opened in Sydney and today we got to! Came a 15 minutes early expecting a line but we were front of queue. Service was quick, food exquisite and delicious. I ordered the signature toripaitan. Nice thick chicken broth which was very creamy and the pork, duck and chicken were amazing. We also got the Aji Fry and Kurozu Karaage which I think are a must try. My new favourite ramen spot in Sydney :)
Quite a hyped-up spot, with a line already forming at 12pm on the weekend (about a 15 min wait). Service was fine (pretty standard chain-restaurant level), but we found the food quite disappointing, especially for the price. Signature Toripaitan: The chashu combination was decent, and I actually enjoyed the duck chashu as a creative touch. The enoki chips on top were also nice. But their โsignatureโ chicken soup just tasted similar to what youโd get from any ramen shop in Sydney - maybe a little creamier, but nothing special and definitely not worth the premium. The noodles were the real letdown: wavy egg noodles instead of the traditional thin Japanese ramen noodles. Maybe itโs meant as fusion or Tokyo style, but for me it took away the ramen element entirely. Tasmania Shio: The seafood clear broth was better than the Toripaitan, but still not particularly impressive, and felt a bit too oily. The abalone was tasty, though the scallops didnโt taste that fresh. This one at least came with proper ramen noodles, which made it a better option overall. The enoki chips were honestly the highlight of the meal - unique and tasty. Overall - if youโre a foodie looking for authentic, traditionally made Japanese ramen, there are better places to be.
