I checked out Auru Ramen with a group of friends ๐๐ซ when we were in the mood for something warm and comforting, and it turned out to be a really solid choice. The place has a cozy, relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in and chat ๐ฌ, whether youโre stopping by for a quick lunch or hanging out for dinner. The interior is really Japanese-inspired ๐ฏ๐ต, with tatami mat seating and a ramen machine to order from, which adds to the experience. The main highlight for me was the broth ๐คค. It was rich, full of flavour, and super satisfying from the first sip to the last. The noodles had a great texture tooโnot too soft and not too firmโand they held up well as I worked my way through the bowl ๐. The toppings added a nice mix of flavours and textures without overpowering the ramen itself (as most ramen). Even though it got a bit busy later on, service was still pretty quick ๐. The space itself was clean and comfortable ๐ช, making it a nice spot to unwind and enjoy a meal together. Overall, Auru Ramen was an easy, enjoyable experience, and Iโd definitely come back with friends the next time Iโm craving a hearty, flavour-packed bowl of ramen ๐โจ Cost: $$ | Aesthetic: 5/5 | Ramen: 4/5
An absolutely wonderful cultural and culinary immersion! A restaurant finished with clean tables and traditional seating, this Japanese ramen spot was on my go-to list for a while, and I am extremely happy with how it turned out. There is a plethora of variety to select from, and I really want to thank the chefs for providing such wonderful ramen for my mate and myself. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and provided service that went above and beyond. The atomosphere within the restaurant was beautiful, and it truly made the space feel welcoming and warm. I will most definitely be coming back! ๐
Love this place. Before walking into the restaurant, you are greeted with a vending machine - completely unnecessary but a nice touch for those who have been to Japan and are familiar with this ordering system. From there, you pass your ticket stubs onto staff, settle your bill, and choose your seats. Sitting on the low tables gives you Japan vibes but if you are lanky like me and not too flexible, there are regular tables as well as my personal favourite, counter seats. Go to dishes are the Tonkotsu and Prawn Bisque ramens, stir fried liver + chives, and crowd favourites karaage chicken, and gyoza. The only downside is all beers are bottled. Thankfully you can head upstairs after your meal to Ichiroโs sports bar and wash your meal down with a draft brewski.
My favourite ramen place Their ramen is good for the soul, everytime I eat here i feel like I'm being healed spiritually. It's a tad bit on the fatty side but the flavour is SSS tier. They open until 11pm during the hot seasons and 12am on the cold seasons (except Sundays) and after 10pm the price of the tonkatsu goes down to $15 Bonus: they have the fancy bidet attachments for their toilets
Went at 8pm on a Sunday night and there was no queue. We loved the ticket machine, it was just like Japan (have been 14 times - Shikoku, Kyushu, Hokkaido and Honshu) right down to the cutlery, refresher towels and the bowls. The tonkotsu ramen was delicious, i had mine with firm noodles, rich broth and half back fat, I would return for the tonkotsu. The prawns bisque was more subtle and my wife loved it, it isn't as strong as the tonkotsu. The topping plate was great to share between two, but would be a lot for just one person. Can't wait to come back.
