I visited this place after it was recommended by a friend from Sydney. It was my first time in Perth, and honestly, I was shocked that a restaurant this good exists here. Rojura Curry Samurai completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the chicken soup curry topped with 17 kinds of vegetables. The tender chicken was unbelievably soft, and every single vegetable was packed with flavor โ each one felt like a main character. When combined with the perfectly spiced soup, it was simply outstanding. The original mango lassi was also amazing โ rich and creamy, but not overly sweet at all. It paired perfectly with the curry. The restaurant was lively, with not only Japanese customers but also many locals, which really showed how loved this place is. Without exaggeration, this is the best soup curry Iโve had in Australia. I truly wish they had a location in Sydney. Iโll definitely be back!! โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ๐ฅ
Amazing lunch - Hokkaido style curry with heaps of fresh veggies. Delicious. Usually Japanese food isnโt that spicy however they donโt muck around here - got a 6 (spice level) and was very spicy but still very good - take them seriously! Loved it
Iโve never had soup curry before and it is definitely one of the best Japanese curry Iโve ever experienced. The place has a cosy atmosphere with warm lights and wooden furniture. Staff is friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive as you could pick various soup bases, spiciness and rice portion sizes and different toppings. I ordered the crispy chicken maryland with 11 vegetables and mild soup. Everything was so delicious, even the steamed rice was well cooked. The chicken is tender and juicy with crispy skin. Vegetables are soft and offer a complex flavour to your meal. Mild soup base has soy milk, miso and tomato which has a sweet and tangy taste that is well balanced. Food is on a pricer side but good portion sizes for one person.
Got the August 2025 special - a slow-braised (in red wine) duck together with a Spice Level 4 (there are 10 Levels, and good news to my non-spicy consumers, there is a non-spicy option!). The duck was really tender and the soup curry had a balanced thickness to it that coats the rice really well. The vegetables were cooked to my preference too. The staff came back to bring me a broccoli that was forgotten by accident. So you can trust that there are 11/17 vegetable variety in the curry. My only mistake was that I underestimated the spice level. Level 4 was pushing the edge of my spice tolerance without breaking a sweat. But overall, a really good find. The service staff who served us was really friendly too. Will definitely come back for another round. Last but not the least, I also appreciate that there are segments on the menu that state the allergens in the food. Reservation is recommended unless you're able to reach on the dot when the shop opens ๐
Easily the best Japanese curry in Perth! Tucked away in Shafto Lane, this cosy spot serves up amazing Hokkaido-style curries with custom spice levels and plenty of variety. I had the vegan coconut milk curry with 17 veggies โ so fresh, so flavourful! Spice level 1 was the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. The vibe feels just like Japan. Highly recommend
