Sakura is an absolutely amazing Japanese restaurant. Everything is served fresh and is delicious. The serving sizes are perfect and the staff are friendly. It is very easy to spend a lot of money because after every bite you just want more until your ready to explode. I highly recommend Sakura sushi but make sure you make a booking so you don't miss out on getting a table.

Tucked away opposite the local drive-through bottle shop, Sakura Sushi in Wollongong offers an authentic Japanese dining experience in a cozy and inviting setting. With an open kitchen and sashimi bar, the ambiance is warm and intimate, and the option of outdoor seating adds a nice touch of versatility. We started with the sashimi and sushi platter, which was nothing short of extraordinary. The sashimi included an assortment of impeccably fresh fish, from silky salmon and tender tuna to delicate slices of kingfish, all cut with expert precision. The sushi was equally impressive, featuring perfectly seasoned rice paired with a variety of flavorful and beautifully presented fillings. The seafood hotpot was a true highlight. It arrived bubbling with a rich, umami-packed broth and was filled to the brim with an abundance of fresh seafood, including succulent prawns, plump scallops, tender mussels, and crisp vegetables. Every spoonful was a celebration of bold, well-balanced flavors that left us craving more. To complete the experience, we enjoyed a dark Japanese beer with a smooth, malty profile that paired beautifully with the meal. Sakura Sushi delivers an exceptional dining experience, combining fresh ingredients, masterful preparation, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is a place where authenticity shines through, and we’ll definitely be returning for more.

We were served by CC (I hope I spelled her name correctly) and she was amazing! She took our photos and she knows how to do it perfectly. We are happy with our food, reservation was easy and the ambiance was a genuine Japanese experience. Thank you for making our dinner satisfying.

The Japanese food here is more traditional than a typical sushi bar. Also nice to see a Japanese chef at work. Pleasant atmosphere and very good service. The food is reasonably priced and they have a very large range of menu options.
