This was an unassuming little ramen corner store (in terms of size, though the interiors were beautifully decorated!) but it packed a punch when it came to flavours. I ordered the asari shoyu ramen and I knew I would be back upon taking the first sip of broth โ umami, clam, an unmistakable taste of the sea. The ramen noodles were โ2 weeks aged wavy noodlesโ which were delightfully chewy and soaked up the flavours of the broth well. They were also incredibly generous with the amount of asari clams this was served with, and the โgoboโ fry-like chips made for a perfect pairing. I would really like to come back again soon to try more of their ramen.
Cozy restaurant. Late minute find. We got the salmon Yukke which was savoury and umami. We both decided to try the Asari Shoyu (Clam Ramen) with 2 week dry aged noodles, I enjoyed it, they were chewy. It was my first time having the protein choice as only Clam, iโm not a big fan of it but I enjoyed this dish, it was a very neutral dish in terms of flavours. Very earthy and comforting but fresh from the greens. Iโm not sure if I would have it again but iโd definitely try their other dishes. Their Yuzu Ichigo Strawberry Fizz was a delicious sweet treat too.
The two-week-aged ramen was absolutely delicious! Iโve tried the yuzu duck and clam before, but this time I went for fresh oyster โ and it was outstanding. The chef clearly understands what true food lovers want. Highly recommended!
This is not your traditional classic ramen place Itโs a nice bright environment in a cozy setting with some new approaches on ramen combinations Been here many times and have tried almost all the different taken dishes I personally like the flavours and the inspiration behind the dishes however others may not. I would suggest being a bit flexible in your approach on this modern approach on ramen Love the gobo chips, Karaage chicken, the flavour of the broth of all the ramen. Some are very delicate while others are definitely punchier Love the aged wavy noodles as well ๐
We were a group of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids) โI ordered the Tsukemen Yuzu, and while the wavy noodles were excellent, the dipping broth was a letdown. It was tasty but salty and lacked the depth a ramen broth should have. โ A turn-off was the pricing model: having to pay extra for the egg felt unnecessary, especially when most comparable ramen spots include it as standard. The Gobo chips were yummy and the Karaage chicken was really good. The place has a trendy vibe and very well-designed interiors, but the tables are simply too close to each other. It didn't feel kid friendly as well but I can understand that because of the location. I won't be coming back.
