Awesome food, great prices for the quality, good service and very quick to make, a must try if you’re in the area

Please take the photo with a grain of salt — the food endured a seven-minute drive home, so presentation understandably suffered. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t survive the journey either, though I doubt it was even there to begin with. I ordered a katsu curry and was met with what appeared to be old, refried katsu paired with roughly a tablespoon of curry. The vegetables (carrots and potatoes) were undercooked and tasted reheated rather than freshly prepared, giving the entire dish a tired, leftover feel. For a meal marketed as Japanese food, this fell well short of Japanese quality standards and just standards in general. The current rating is somewhat misleading, as the value and execution don’t justify anything beyond two stars—and thats me being kind. Overall, quite disappointing — especially when katsu curry is usually such a reliable comfort dish. It’s really hard to mess up, but hey…first time for everything.

Low A tier spot. 7/10 Sushi. They charge for an extra 50 cents if it's below 5 bucks. So make sure to purchase with that in mind. Food tastes pretty decent. It's good. Nothing crazy. It's aight

One of my Freo lunchtime faves! The service is fantastic with the talented team whipping up freshly made eats to fill the cabinets for quick take aways (I love a star box). When I am in the mood for something warm and comforting I just can't go past the Japanese Curry, it's one of the best versions I have tasted.
