If you been in Japan this is the only Yakitori that is just like Japan. Donโt miss out itโs a wonderful experience. Chef is Japanese and all the staff too. Eddie ( owner ) will come around and crack his jokes with big smile ! Great guyโs thanks and keep it up !
This is the most amazing restaurant. If I could duplicate it and place it at the end of my street I would be there every night! From the moment we walked in the door the staff were funny, friendly and accommodating. We didnt have a booking on a Saturday night, and despite being seemingly full they found us a table! Every morsel was delicious and perfectly cooked. The highlight for us were the Gobo chips, which were the most scrumptious thing I have ever tasted. We had matcha IPA which was yummy and complemented the meal perfectly. The staff kept asking how we enjoyed our dishes, and we felt looked after like being at someones home not a business. There was such a lovely sense of harmony here. I left feeling satisfied and wished I could take the whole place back with me. I think I would travel to Adelaide again just to visit Yakitori Takumi!
My partner and I had an amazing experience. All the staff were incredible and genuinely hospitable, with great banter that made the whole night feel relaxed and friendly. You could really tell they cared about their craft and the heritage of Japanese food, even taking the time to explain some of the dishes and traditions to us, which we really appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared fresh right in front of us. Sitting at the bar was a treat because you can see straight into the kitchen and watch the chefs at work on the grill. Every skewer was beautifully made, presented perfectly, and full of flavour. The venue itself is stunning. It has an open shop front, lovely lighting, and a calm, authentic Japanese vibe that just makes you want to stay longer. Weโd definitely come back again and would recommend coming to everyone looking for a top-notch Japanese dining experience. Also a particular shout out to James and Eddie, but all the staff were amazing :)
With an energy and atmosphere that matches the quality and freshness of their food, this has to be the best Japanese restaurant in South Australia. Fresh local ingredients cooked before your eyes, thereโs no doubting the authentic experience from this amazing team. The menu is expansive and the drinks list is exceptional. A fantastic restaurant which keeps you coming back for more.
This is a Japanese izakaya that turns first-time visitors into regulars! Yakitori Takumi offers beautifully crafted dishes โ every bite is flavorful and you can really taste the chefโs attention to detail. The presentation is elegant, making it a perfect spot to treat yourself to a great meal. On top of the amazing food, the service is outstanding. Iโd especially like to mention Eddie โ he was incredibly friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain the menu, which made the whole dining experience even better. It truly felt welcoming and warm. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. Iโll definitely be back!
