This was the first meal I had in Sydney and it didnโt disappoint. The workers were so inviting and friendly, quick to help with any requests I had. I had the karaage, serving of rice and some miso. Everything was a hit for me.
Very below average Ramen, and the chef forgot to put the chasui into the ramen and came out dry and cold like cardboard, soup broth not tasty at all, the soup was without depth and very blend. School of prawns were over cooked and so much salt, a wedge of lemon would lift it, it was dry and finish. The originisโฆ we ordered 3 and was a huge disappointment, too wet and the yuzu miso one was tasteless. The fish balls weโre Over fried There were nothing opened at 10:20 pm and we were hungry. For Sydney Japanese food scene this is just not good at all.
This place is one of my favourite Izakayas in Sydney. Iโve lived in Japan for 6 years and this felt like being back in Tokyo. Service was attentive, food was great and venue is quaint too. I recommend trying as much as you can on the menu with some Japanese beers or Sake and youโll enjoy yourself no doubt. Tucked away in the bustling suburb of Chatswood, this Japanese izakaya offers a cozy and authentic dining experience that transports you straight to Japan. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with traditional decor and friendly staff. The menu at Yorimichi is a feast for the senses, featuring a wide array of Japanese dishes that are both delicious and beautifully presented. The sashimi is incredibly fresh, and the grilled skewers are perfectly seasoned. One of the standout dishes is the okonomiyaki โ a savory Japanese pancake that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, packed with flavors that will leave you craving more. What sets Yorimichi apart is its attention to detail and commitment to quality. Every dish is prepared with care, using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. The drink menu is also impressive, offering a selection of sake, Japanese beers, and unique cocktails that pair perfectly with the food. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends or a special night out, Yorimichi delivers a memorable dining experience. Be sure to make a reservation, as this popular spot tends to fill up quickly. If you're in Chatswood, don't miss the chance to dine at Yorimichi โ it's a culinary journey worth taking.
So amazing, we love Japan (>13 trips each) and this place feels like a Japanese izakaya. The service is gracious and friendly and I love how you can try the sake before deciding on what you like (we loved the high aroma not too dry sake). My favourite dish was the homemade teriyaki tofu steak, this hae amazing texture and great flavour. We loved the karage chicken onigiri, which was moreish and filling The ramen was so good too, it has a nice char to the vegetables and deep flavours that would put it in our top quartile of ramen (and we've been to Kyushu several times too). The miso katsu was very much what one would find in Japan and we liked the spinach side dish. The cheeseballs had to be eaten quickly (we dawdled), but it was still ok. Pricing is sharp, service is amazing and we will definitely be coming back.
